Our Programs and Campaigns: Leading Digital Change

At Gen D Rights, we build the infrastructure to protect digital rights. Our programs and campaigns are designed to address the most pressing digital threats facing youth in the region.

The Problem We Are Solving

Young internet users in the Middle East and North Africa are constantly exposed to sophisticated digital threats. These include unconstitutional digital surveillance, rampant state-sponsored misinformation, algorithmic discrimination, and severe restrictions on freedom of expression. Without formal digital rights education, youth are left defenseless against these forces.

Our Solution: Four Strategic Action Pillars

1. Digital Rights Education & E-Learning (Amalfy Platform)

The Problem: There is a severe lack of accessible, culturally relevant education regarding digital rights and privacy laws in Arabic-speaking communities. The Solution: We provide comprehensive workshops and host "Amalfy," a bespoke online e-learning platform. Who it's for: Youth (16–35), students, and young professionals. The Impact: Over a thousand young people have successfully completed our localized modules.

2. Media Literacy and Anti-Misinformation Campaigns

The Problem: The MENA region is heavily targeted by localized misinformation campaigns designed to polarize communities. The Solution: We organize youth-led awareness actions teaching advanced fact-checking, safe communication, and ethical content creation. Who it's for: Aspiring journalists, digital creators, and civil society actors. The Impact: The establishment of regional youth networks dedicated to combating fake news.

3. Online Safety and Defensive Training

The Problem: Activists, journalists, and marginalized youth frequently face doxxing, digital harassment, and targeted surveillance. The Solution: We equip vulnerable communities with defensive cybersecurity tools. Our workshops cover essential practices such as secure messaging protocols. Who it's for: Human rights defenders, youth activists, and vulnerable minority groups. The Impact: Participants report a 80% increase in confidence regarding their ability to secure their personal data.

4. Inclusion and Accessibility Projects

The Problem: Digital rights discussions often exclude those who are most marginalized, including refugees, rural populations, and persons with disabilities. The Solution: We run targeted initiatives ensuring that digital-rights education and hardware access reach the most vulnerable demographics. Who it's for: Refugees, displaced youth, and persons with disabilities. The Impact: Bridging the digital divide by integrating hundreds of marginalized voices into the broader digital rights conversation.
