Apply NowGeneration-D (Gen-D) is a youth-led, non-profit organization dedicated to transforming awareness into systemic action. We stand at the critical intersection of human rights, emerging technology, and inclusive education. Our core purpose is to build inclusive and resilient digital societies where every young person—from local communities in the MENA region to the Euro-Med diaspora—can thrive without fear of digital surveillance, harassment, or disenfranchisement.
We were founded out of the urgent necessity to give youth a powerful voice in digital governance. While traditional institutions research digital policy from a distance, Gen-D Rights was established by activists who recognize a critical gap: young people are the most active internet users, yet remain the most vulnerable and underrepresented in policy-making. We differentiate ourselves by translating complex legal frameworks and digital policies into accessible, actionable online privacy education and dynamic media literacy campaigns. We do not just publish reports; we build capacity within grassroots communities.
The MENA region faces unique infrastructural and legislative hurdles concerning digital freedom. Digital rights in MENA are frequently challenged by shifting regulations, internet shutdowns, and the rapid spread of organized misinformation.
Impact is at the center of everything we do. Through our active campaigns and community-driven initiatives, we have trained thousands of young people across the region.
We do not work in a silo. Achieving internet freedom in the Arab world requires unprecedented collaboration. Gen-D Rights partners with leading civil society organizations, universities, and international human rights bodies to scale our impact. Our transparent reporting and direct engagement with policy-makers validate our ongoing commitment to a safer digital future. We are proud contributors to regional digital rights networks and stand by our mandate to deliver transparent, impact-driven results.
